Skyview Golf Club Wedding Photos by Jessica Lee Photo
After getting to know Alyse and Billy during their drive-in engagement session, capturing their wedding at the Skyview Golf Club was such an honor! Our instant connection had us laughing and joking like long time friends, making the celebration with them, their families and friends that much sweeter.
Alyse was stunning in a beautiful floor length wedding gown, designed by Essence of Australia. I just loved the cap sleeves (a personal favorite), detail of each lace appliqué and the touch of sparkle from the belt that sat at her waist.
Her bridesmaids all stood by her side in gorgeous floor length lavender bridesmaid gowns designed by Bill Levkoff.
The cascading bouquet of roses – designed by Sussex County Florists – with petite flowers in her signature color, tied everything together so perfectly!
My second photographer spent the morning with Billy and his groomsmen. Billy looked dapper in his tux!
It was important for Billy and Alyse to see each other for the first time at their ceremony, so they opted to not do a first look. Instead, at the church, Billy was facing away from the door. His cue, when all the guests stood, he then turned around to see Alyse walk down the aisle. I thought this was a unique and special way to see each other at the same time for the first time. Just look at his smile, priceless!
Their love of cars was shared at their engagement session and I love how they incorporated another classic, a vintage Rolls Royce, into their wedding event. The Skyview Golf Course made an exceptional backdrop to document this and the other portraits we captured there that day.
My favorite part of the day is spending some time with just the bride and groom. It’s the part of the day when time slows down and they can just have fun and take in the moment. It’s especially fruitful if we had an engagement session together. With me, my second photographer and, most often, one to two cinematographers, this helps to create a much more relaxed atmosphere. The couple knows what to expect and becomes less aware of the multiple cameras. An engagement session isn’t necessary, but I always encourage each couple to have one. We have thirty minutes together, sometimes less (!!!), I believe you never want to be in front of a (professional) camera for the first time on your wedding day.
The forecast was for rain that day, but it held out and we captured some beautiful portraits, preserving their beautiful legacy to share with their family.
Billy and Alyse’s reception was filled with small personal touches, my favorite.. the mason jars filled with kettle corn!
Gemini Productions whipped up the evenings vibe and the dance floor was continually packed throughout the night.
We didn’t let the rain scare us and snuck out to capture these unbelievable portraits.
