Archives for January 2015

Jessica Lee Photography-Wedding Photographer-Helpful Hint Wednesday_0001

In this three part series, we talked about having an Instawedding and creating a #weddinghashtag for your guests to use on Instagram and Twitter, then crowd sourcing those snapshots in a virtual album to browse through later. To round up the series, I will be talking about, a live Instagram feed for your wedding event.

It’s super easy:
1    Go to’s sister site (specifically tailored for weddings)
2    Register for a free account on the site and create a free trial for your event
3    Display our website at your venue, either on large screens, through a projector or just on a TV
4    The slideshow tells your guests to take photos on Instagram and add a hashtag
5    Your guests see their photo appear on the screen real time

Sharing allows us to bring others into our experiences. Live Instagram slideshows are a fantastic way to offer the people that mean the most to you the opportunity to capture your wedding through their eyes and share with you the memories created.

Will you be having any fun activities at your wedding reception? I would love to see how you plan to celebrate your event! Please share with me all the details you’re cooking up : )

I’m a fabulous life-planner but terrible at accomplishing the goals outlined. I’ve tried just about everything.. notes around the house, print outs tapped to the wall in front of my desk and reminders on my phone.. nothing seemed to ever just, stick! I’ve prayed continually on this and recently God has put a fire in my heart to live with more intention. I’ve realized that with planning, must come action; purposeful decision making.

I don’t know what 2015 will hold for me, but I do know that I will approach this year with INTENTION! I wear many hats – a believer, a mom, a wife, and a business owner – that’s a lot of pressure and often leaves me feeling overwhelmed. This year’s vision is to plan ahead and set goals to carve out time to connect with God in a bold way, bring the relationship back into my marriage, be more of (just a) mom, and generate crazy momentum in my business. I want to move away from simply managing my life and allow margin to enjoy the small moments. I believe this is living with intention and purpose. For me, that means planning ahead. I’m sure I will fail often, but I welcome it, for only then will I truly learn. With God’s grace and direction, I fervently pray for this.. amen!

To help me and provide some structure (I’m a formula-working kind of girl!), I’m following Nancy Ray’s 5-step Goal Setting Guide (sign up for her newsletter here to receive it!). From now until January 10th, when I host the very first Newton NJ Pursuit Gathering (more on that later!), I will be praying in these areas: career, family, financial, spiritual, intellectual, social and physical. Then, during our fellowship, I will work through and clearly define each area. I can’t wait to share them with you!

What about you? Have you set any goals for 2015? I find that I’m more motivated to act when I read the goals of friends. If you have blogged or shared your goals somewhere, please leave a link in the comments below so I can read them : )
